Local Entertainment

Tampa not only boasts a rich history, but it is also home to a large number of unique entertainment venues.  Whether you are looking for a night out with friends, a day spent with the family, or just the opportunity to experience the city, Tampa is a great place to do all of that and much more.  Although this page only highlights a portion of the entertainment options available, we trust it will serve as a great starting place.

Ybor City – Tampa’s Latin Quarter - Known as Tampa’s Latin Quarter for over a century, Ybor City is an exotic blend of aromas, flavors, sights and sounds.  From the scent of roasting Cuban coffee early in the morning to the rhythms of Latin music late into the night, Ybor is a feast for the senses. Choose from a variety of cuisine – Spanish, Cuban, Italian, Greek and French – just by strolling down La Setima, the main street of the Historic District.  Browse eclectic shops and art galleries, visit one of the museums, see a “hand-rolled cigar” being made, or just relax and “people watch” with a cup of Ybor’s famous cafe con leche.

Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center - TBPAC is located downtown on a picturesque nine-acre site along the east bank of the Hillsborough River. As the largest performing arts complex south of the Kennedy Center, the 335,000 square-foot TBPAC provides an environment for a wide variety of world-class events. It boasts one of the nation’s leading Broadway series and is nationally respected for producing grand opera, as well as presenting a wide variety of concerts, performances and events. More than 680,000 patrons attended 4,148 events in TBPAC’s 2007-2008 season.
