Missions
At Covenant Life Church (CLC), our mission to glorify God by making disciples who display God’s glory, live in gospel-centered community, and work for gospel renewal is deeply reflected in our commitment to missions work among unreached language groups and other local and international missions. We are privileged to partner with missionaries and organizations dedicated to spreading the gospel worldwide.
Partnerships
Wales Church Plant: We support an IMB-supported church plant within a refugee community in Wales, aiming to bring the hope of Christ to those who have been displaced and are seeking refuge. The IMB missionary working there also trains and disciples church leaders in his region.
Hispaniola Institute of Theology (HIT): HIT exists to magnify God by equipping current and future church leaders to lead churches and make disciples of Christ among Haitians, Dominicans, and all nations. Our partnership with HIT enables us to contribute to the theological education and training of leaders who will impact the Caribbean and beyond.
Southeast Asia Missionaries: We collaborate with multiple missionary partners working among unreached people groups in Southeast Asia, supporting their efforts to establish indigenous, reproducing churches in regions where the gospel is least known.
Annual Missions Celebration: Missions67
Inspired by Psalm 67, our annual Missions67 celebration is a time for our congregation to focus on God’s heart for the nations. The conference features guest speakers, missionary testimonies, and engaging informational booths designed to share the work of our missionary partners with our congregation and encourage us to participate in God’s global mission.
Partnership with Radius International and other agencies
We partner with various organizations and works across the world, including the International Missions Board, Reach & Teaching, Pioneers, and more. We also partner with Radius International, a missionary training organization, providing pre-field missions training that equips cross-cultural workers to establish healthy, indigenous, reproducing churches among unreached language groups. This partnership enhances our ability to support and send well-prepared missionaries into the field. You can inquire about our Radius partnership by emailing info@covenantlifetampa.org.
Missionary Support Teams
Members of CLC enjoy the opportunity to belong to special teams that work to support our missionaries through dedicated prayer, receiving direct updates from our missionaries, planning trips to support their work, and other efforts to help ensure our missionary partners are well-equipped and resourced. You can contact Elaine Weindruch for more information.
Missions Organization Partnerships
CLC dedicates much of our congregational giving to support various organizations and works across the world, including the International Missions Board, Reach & Teaching, GSI, and more. We would love to inform you on how these organizations help make a positive impact in reaching the world for Christ and share ways that you can become involved in their work.
Local Mission Opportunities
CLC partners with local organizations to reach the nations locally in Tampa Bay. Our partners include Bridges International and a local Afghanistan refugee ministry. Bridges International serves international students through events, airport pick-up, and other engagements, hoping to eventually share the gospel with them. The Afghanistan refugee ministry serves a people group that is hard to reach with language tutoring and other practical help. We are blessed to have the opportunity to partner with organizations like these to display God’s love and serve those around us.
Get Involved
We invite you to join us in prayer, support, and participation as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission. Whether through attending Missions67, supporting our missionary partners, or exploring opportunities to serve, there is a place for everyone in this vital work.
Together, let’s continue to make Christ known among the nations, proclaiming His salvation to the ends of the earth.
