Students
*Student Ministry gatherings will not occur on November 27, December 25, or January 1. Enjoy the holidays!*
Covenant Life Church (CLC) is passionate about equipping the next generation to love and follow Jesus. As part of this mission, we host a dynamic weekly gathering for students in grades 6-12 every Wednesday night at 6:30 pm in the East Hall on our campus. This gathering, led by members of our congregation, is more than just a weekly event—it’s an opportunity for students to grow in their faith, deepen relationships with one another, and connect with the broader church family at CLC.
What to Expect at CLC Student Gatherings
Our student ministry is intentionally structured to align with Covenant Life Church’s mission to glorify God by making disciples who treasure Christ, love one another, and serve the community. With that mission in mind, each Wednesday night is designed to:
- Foster Discipling Relationships: Students are encouraged to build Christ-centered friendships with our members where they can be supported, encouraged, and challenged to understand God’s word and believe it. We place a strong emphasis on the need to know and believe the gospel for salvation.
- Practice Spiritual Disciplines: Through Bible study, prayer, singing, accountability, and service, students are equipped with tools to apply biblical truth to their everyday lives.
- Integrate with the Larger Church Community: We believe students constitute a vital part of the families within our church and broader community, and we aim to help them feel connected and engaged with the church family at CLC.
Each week of the month incorporates these key elements in creative and intentional ways, aiming for a well-rounded discipleship experience.
How Student Ministry Aligns With CLC’s Vision
At Covenant Life Church, our vision is to see the gospel transform lives in our community and beyond. This vision plays a foundational role in our student ministry. We seek to cultivate a generation of young disciples who are confident in their faith, rooted in Scripture, and passionate about sharing the hope of Christ with others. By focusing on discipleship and community, our student ministry helps fulfill this vision as students grow to become mature, gospel-centered followers of Jesus.

our focus
- Biblically Rooted Teaching: Every gathering is centered around God’s Word, equipping students to understand and apply biblical truths.
- A Community Model of Ministry: Students are encouraged to build lifelong friendships within a Christ-centered environment.
- Church Integration: We aim to raise students to understand the mission of the church, helping to develop a seamless transition into mature, healthy membership as they come to know Christ through faith and repentance. Once fruit is consistently demonstrated, they are taken along a guided path by our student leaders and elders to understand how Christians are to live in the world, especially in the context of the local church.
- Committed Leadership: Led by Hunter Hughes and a group of healthy, active church members, our student ministry team is passionate about seeing students grow in their faith and impact the world for Christ.
- Engaging Events: In addition to our weekly gatherings, each year our students participate in a discipleship weekend (DNOW) and a youth camp. Both events are designed to instruct them with God’s word and grow their desire for discipleship within the church. Join us this Wednesday at 6:30 pm and see what God is doing in the lives of students at Covenant Life Church!
