Sunday Update (Hurricane Milton)

Here are our plans for gathering this Sunday.

  1. There is currently power in the office building, but nowhere else on the property. If those conditions persist, we will hold our gathering in the East Hall with no CLK. It will be a family-style gathering with all children present. The playground will be available for all families to use if needed.
  2. If power returns, we have determined that we will open CLK for ages 3 and under. If you are scheduled for CLK, we will communicate if power returns as soon as possible.
  3. We have also determined that we will not meet in the Main Hall if power returns tomorrow. There was some limited water intrusion into the Main Hall that will prevent us from gathering there this week.
  4. We encourage all members to bring camping chairs or blankets to use if we exhaust the capacity in the East Hall. There is room for additional chairs to be set up (we have exhausted our portable chair supply in the EH).
  5. Please use both the north and the east entrances to the East Hall. Greeters will be available to point you in the right direction.
  6. Lord-willing, bulletins with lyrics to our songs will be available tomorrow during the gathering.
  7. There will be no CLI or Foundations this Sunday. The CLI schedule will be bumped back one week to accommodate teachers and students who cannot attend.
    1. NOTE: If you are scheduled to serve in CLI between now and the end of the semester, we ask that you push your schedule back one week. If scheduling issues persist, please work with Jenny to accommodate your absence.
  8. Due to the effects of the hurricane, our Members’ Meeting will now occur on Sunday, October 20. We will send the agenda for this meeting next week.
    1. NOTE: If you were scheduled to serve at the Members’ Meeting, please plan on serving on October 20. If you need to arrange for someone else to serve, please call or email Cole Krajeski.

If you have any questions, concerns, or needs, please get in touch with a member of our staff or one of our elders, and we will do our best to answer you as soon as possible.
