Justin Perry
Elder; Staff – Lead Pastor
Justin was graciously saved by God during the summer before he was a high school senior when a student pastor shared the gospel with him. Upon graduating from Union University, Justin served in the local church and then in an inner city sports ministry before marrying his wife, Jackey, in 2004. After completing his M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2008, and the completion of a church planting residency in 2009, he and his family were commissioned out of North Wake Church praying and hoping that the Lord would plant a church in Tampa, FL. Justin is the father to three daughters, and he continues serving as the lead pastor of Covenant Life.
Elaine Weindruch
Deacon
Elaine serves as a deacon with the primary responsibility of leading our missionary support efforts. She has been a member of Covenant Life since 2010.
Bob Walker
Elder; Staff – Associate Pastor
Bob serves as the Associate Pastor overseeing finance, biblical counseling, and Covenant Life Institute. He and his wife Tonya have two grown children, Brooke and Christian, and three grandchildren. Bob served in the Air Force for 20 years and then worked with a contractor as a program manager for another 12 years. Bob came to faith in a Sunday night church service at the age of 8 when he heard the gospel preached. Bob and Tonya moved to Tampa in 2012 and have been members of Covenant Life since then. He has served on staff since early 2018 and as our Associate Pastor since January of 2019.
Jon Huff
Lay Elder
Jon serves as a lay elder at CLC. In God’s sovereign grace, He saved Jon the summer before his senior year in high school and gave him a passion to teach His word. Jon went to Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, FL to prepare for vocational ministry, and it was there that he met his wife Heidi. They married in 2001. After completing his M.Min. and learning French, Jon and Heidi moved to Togo in West Africa, where they served for six years. Jon planted two village churches and led a Bible institute to train men for the ministry. God has blessed Jon and Heidi with three girls and a boy.
Kevin Wilder
Lay Elder
Kevin is one of the lay elders serving CLC and provides direct leadership to our Community Groups. Kevin was born and raised in the Tampa, Florida area. By God’s grace, he was converted at a young age after hearing the gospel from several faithful believers. CLC became his church home in 2013, in addition to being where he first met his wife, Melanie. They had their first child, a daughter, in 2020. Kevin works in a marketing and communications role and recently received an MA in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He began serving as a lay elder in 2020.
Charlie Jackson
Staff – Directory of Ministry Support
Charlie serves as the Director of Ministry Support for music, events, facilities, and communications. Graciously, God saved him in 2005, and he was baptized at Bell Shoals Baptist Church in 2006. He and his wife, Amy, met in 2009 through the college ministry of Bell Shoals. They married each other in 2012 and had their first son in 2013. In 2014, he graduated from Trinity College of Florida and continued his studies at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2015. Charlie and Amy returned to Tampa and welcomed their second son in July of 2016. They have been members of Covenant Life Church since 2016, and Charlie has served on staff since 2018. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, bike riding, reading, wrestling with his boys, and playing board games.
Jenny Fugler
Staff – Director of Covenant Life Kids
Jenny serves as the Director of Covenant Life Kids. Jenny came to know Christ as Savior and Lord when, after faithful planting of gospel seeds by her parents and extended family, her eyes were opened to the truth and precious gift of salvation at the age of sixteen. She grew up in California, went to college in Minnesota, and married her military husband (Travis) in 2006. Eventually, the Air Force led them to Tampa in early 2013. The Lord graciously allowed them to covenant with CLC that year, and she began serving in her current position in 2016. She finds her primary roles in the home, as wife to an airline pilot and mother to four daughters and one son. She has been a member of Covenant Life since 2013.
Madison Krajeski
Staff - Administrative Assistant
Madison has served as Covenant Life's administrative assistant since 2023.
Nick Broome
Deacon of Corporate Gatherings
Nick serves as a deacon with the primary responsibility of preparing our facilities for corporate gatherings. He has been a member of Covenant Life since 2019.
Heidi Huff
Deacon of Scheduling
Heidi serves as a deacon with the primary responsibility of scheduling volunteers for service positions. She has been a member of Covenant Life since 2016.
Hunter Hughes
Deacon of Student Ministry
Hunter serves as a deacon with the primary responsibility of leading our student ministry. He has been a member of Covenant Life since 2018.
Michael Stump
Deacon of Ushering
Michael serves as a deacon with the primary responsibility of leading our team of ushers for corporate gatherings. He has been a member of Covenant Life since 2015.
