Staff Pastors
Justin Perry
Lead Pastor
Justin is our lead pastor and primary preacher who also oversees leadership development, church planting, and pastoral networks. He came to faith when a student pastor shared the gospel with him before his senior high school year. After graduating from Union University, he earned his M.Div. from SEBTS in 2008 and completed a church planting residency at North Wake Church in 2009. Justin married his wife Jackey in 2004 and they have three daughters.
Bob Walker
Associate Pastor
Bob oversees finance, biblical counseling, missions, and Covenant Life Institute. He came to faith at age eight during a Sunday night service where the gospel was preached. After 20 years in the Air Force, Bob worked as a program manager for 12 years. He and his wife, Tonya, joined CLC when moving to Tampa in 2012. Bob joined our staff in early 2018 and has served as Associate Pastor since January 2019. They have two grown children and three grandchildren.
Kevin Wilder
Associate Pastor
Kevin oversees communications, community groups, family ministries, and supporting our deacons. He came to faith at a young age through the witness of faithful believers. Kevin is a UAB graduate with an M.A. from SEBTS. Prior to joining the staff, Kevin served as a deacon then lay elder and specialized for years in corporate writing and communications. He has two young daughters with his wife Melanie, whom he met at CLC in 2013.
Charlie Jackson
Assistant Pastor
Charlie oversees Sunday gatherings, church events, facilities and special projects. He was saved in 2005 and baptized in 2006 at Bell Shoals Baptist Church, where he met his wife, Amy. Married in 2012, they have two sons. Charlie graduated from Trinity College of Florida in 2014 with a B.A. in Christian Ministry and began studies at SBTS in 2015. After returning to Tampa in 2016, they joined CLC. He has served on staff since 2018. He and his wife Amy have two sons.
Lay Elders
Jay Popovich
The Lord saved Jay at a young age through parents generous with the gospel message. Originally from Connecticut, Jay was actively involved as a Young Life volunteer from 1996 to 2006. In 2010, the Lord moved Jay and his wife Torrey from North Wake Church in North Carolina to be a part of CLC’s church plant. He received his business degree from University of Connecticut in 2004 and works full-time for a market research technology company in corporate sales. Jay and Torrey married in 2006 and have three children.
Other Staff
Jenny Fugler
Covenant Life Kids Director
Jenny came to faith in the gospel at 16 through the faithful witness of her parents and extended family. Originally from California, Jenny attended college in Minnesota and married her husband Travis in 2006. As a military family, they moved frequently before settling in Tampa. They joined CLC in 2013 and have six children. In addition to her work for the church, Jenny manages an active household while Travis serves as a pilot.
Lisa Rose
Administrative Assistant
Lisa came to faith in 2002. She met her husband, Doug, while they both served in the U.S. Air Force in California. They married in 1994. Lisa earned an MBA and spent over 26 years in military and civil service, working in finance, systems, and training. She later became a program manager for a high school leadership program, then taught business and technology. Lisa has a stepson, two daughters and four grandkids. She joined CLC in 2018 and our staff in 2024.
